Matt and the 4th Grade Adams Crew

Saint Louis Public Schools | Staff

I owe an apology to Matt, who came in this summer as a new YES teen and rocked the house with his fantastic science and leadership skills.  I forgot to give props to him in my last blog...definately an oversight and not purposeful.  Once again, I feel so honored to have worked with you guys, even though it was cut short.  GREAT WORK!  See you this fall!

To me Patience is a virtue. You must have patience in life period, Espeacially when your working with people. People are all different so you have to know how to deal with people with patience. I worked with kids for the summer and i had to have patience, it was a must. With out patience the world would be war every where and there would be no peace.

Patience is something that every person sould have. If you have that then you would make it any wear in life. Patience should be used at all times and also if you have patience then it makes people what to be around you and you get along with people more and also you gain more friends.

Patience is something you have to get used to. People arent always patient depending on things around you and your mood. Everyone needs patience sometimes. Teachers have to be really patient to do their job right. It wouldnt not be good if a teacher started yelling at every little thing done wrong, or else the teacher wouldnt do the job right. Patience can be learned over time. Being calm is important, because if youre not calm while waiting for something, then you will anger yourself over nothing. This makes you impatent, and will not help for antyhing but making more anger. Is patience a virtue? I say yes, it is a characteristic trait that people can be good at.

Everyone are not born with patience you have to develop patience as you go along.  You have to have alot of patience to do alot of things like working with little kids.  I dont have alot of patience so thats something I need to work on.  If you dont have patience you will be fustrated with alot of things you do.

Patience is a virtue?

To me, patience is very important in life. From teaching little kids, to meeting critical deadlines, it takes a lot of time and effort to accomplish these goals. Without patience, life would be a lot harder because of the way people give up. For example, to get a job, it takes a lot of patience to actually get that job such as going to interviews and etc. But sometimes, patience can be very hard to practice. I found myself getting unpatient with the kids I was teaching, and it was challenging to understand them. But I am a person that is very patient so it doesn't really take that much for me to understand that patience is critical to the way we live. While I believe some people are born with patience, i also believe that some people develop that skill as they grow older and mature. Patience is a great thing to demonstrate and it makes life a lot easier to me.
