I am KiOntey and this is my third year in the YES Program, I have had several experiences such as working with children with Cerebral Palsy, children from under privileged communities, and many different teens from all over the St. Louis Metropolitan area. There have been many difficult paths along the way from being the youngest person in a component to having the lead a lesson in front of younger people that are ready to learn anything that you put in front of them. But in the last couple of months there have been plethora of people that I have met such as doctors, health advocates, and many more teens. I am looking forward to having a great year and learning more than I have ever in the last three years. So I want to say to all the new YES Teens that this experience is a wonderful one and take advantage of all the opportunities that are placed in front of you and enjoy them because there are many students that don't have to same opportunities given to them.
