College Financing Workshop a success!

YES | City Science | College Prep | Community Partners | Community Partnerships | Designing Teens | Learning Places | Saint Louis | YES-2-Tech | Special Events

Our first college workshop was this weekend and it went pretty well. Attendance was high as The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis presented information on 0% interest loans and Missouri MO$T presented information on tax-free college savings programs. Parents and teens also stayed to learn about free scholarship databases and how to recognize financing scams.

If you weren't able to attend this workshop, don't worry. We will be hosting two more events this Spring, one in March and one in April. If you would like any information from the College Financing Workshop, contact Tim Mulhall (me) at mulhallt@gmail.com and I will forward what I can.

College Financing Workshop is THIS WEEKEND!

YES | City Science | College Prep | Community Partners | Community Partnerships | Designing Teens | Learning Places | Saint Louis | YES-2-Tech | Special Events

I'm getting very excited. The College Financing Workshop scheduled for this weekend is almost here! It starts at 1pm in the Taylor Sciences Building and all YES Teens and their parents are welcome (other sneakers-in are welcome, too!).

I spent alot of yesterday printing off materials for people who come. There's a great deal of information being presented on Saturday, so I hope lots of people come. Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis will be here talking about low (and 0%) interest loans and Missouri MO$T will be here to talk about saving for college. It's never too late. I've also prepared some great information about scholarship resources and scams to watch out for.
