Designing Teens

College prep is a good experience because it helps you get an idea of what life would be like there and how much expenses would be and simple things like that. ALong with college prep, we have to do SCANS. Scans are different types of activities that help you work with yourself and well with others. SCANS also help you to know how a system works. 

This past semester has been fun and busy. This is my first year in the Designing Teens programs and it has been really helpful. The reason I say this is because of College Prep. I'm a senior in high school and college is my main focus right now. The College Prep sessions help me with narrowing down my choices as far a what college I want to attend and what I would like to major in. We do research online and have discussions. We have went through scholarships snd gave our opionions on how we feel about college. I am very thankful for this program and can't wait to participate it in again. 

 

 

 

this week my partner, jamiah, and I worked on building a rollercoaster, that will let a marble stay on the track as long as possible. We used foam pipe, tape, marbles, and popsicle sticks. the hardest part about making the rollercoaster was trying to keep it stable. my partner and I learned that the stiller or more stable it is then the greater the height. Using the bigger marble wasnt good because it made the rollercoaster unsteady.
