patience is a virtue? Jazmine Tutwiler

To me Patience is a virtue. You must have patience in life period, Espeacially when your working with people. People are all different so you have to know how to deal with people with patience. I worked with kids for the summer and i had to have patience, it was a must. With out patience the world would be war every where and there would be no peace.

Patience is a Virtue? ArielStavri

Patience is something you have to get used to. People arent always patient depending on things around you and your mood. Everyone needs patience sometimes. Teachers have to be really patient to do their job right. It wouldnt not be good if a teacher started yelling at every little thing done wrong, or else the teacher wouldnt do the job right. Patience can be learned over time. Being calm is important, because if youre not calm while waiting for something, then you will anger yourself over nothing. This makes you impatent, and will not help for antyhing but making more anger. Is patience a virtue? I say yes, it is a characteristic trait that people can be good at.

Patience is a virtue?

To me, patience is very important in life. From teaching little kids, to meeting critical deadlines, it takes a lot of time and effort to accomplish these goals. Without patience, life would be a lot harder because of the way people give up. For example, to get a job, it takes a lot of patience to actually get that job such as going to interviews and etc. But sometimes, patience can be very hard to practice. I found myself getting unpatient with the kids I was teaching, and it was challenging to understand them. But I am a person that is very patient so it doesn't really take that much for me to understand that patience is critical to the way we live. While I believe some people are born with patience, i also believe that some people develop that skill as they grow older and mature. Patience is a great thing to demonstrate and it makes life a lot easier to me.

Louisea's Fourth Summer

This summer at the Science Center has been a new experience in all. The past two summers i have worked with Americorps, and now I'm working with the St.Louis Public schools; which is very different.I was use to teaching everyday with no supervisor in the class room when i was in the americorps group. I got accustom to doing things on my own with my group. In contrast to that in the St.Louis Public Schools group we taught on mondays and thursdays and a supervisor was always present. At first it took sometime to get use to but in the end i really enjoyed being in the SLPS group. It was amazing to discover all the basic facts of science that the children we were teaching didnt know, but we did our best to instill the facts they needed to know . Overall i enjoyed myself and i'm excited about next summer , hopefully i'll be a supervisor.

Hey everyone it's me again and I'm have so much to tell you all! Me and my group at Ames have now finished up our summer with the students. We are now working on a project untill the end of the year involving bubbles. The activity is sooo fun and we've put so many ideas into it to make it more creative. We even made a hypothesis to which soap is to make the biggest bubbles or the long-lasting bubbles..well talk to you later.

Today.....

Today we went over to the main building and saw the Hurricane On The Bayou movie in the OMNIMAX Theater. IT was good . And once we got done with that we got to spend an hour or so in the Science Center. It was fun . Yesterday was our last official day teaching at ames. It was fun though, we went outside with one of the classes and played with bubbles. It was a wind activity and i think they really enjoyed it and we had them do a kind of competition where you see who can blow the biggest bubble and what not. It was a fun last day in my opinion.
