Astronomy

Right now I am cutting up plastic bags to be used for a meteor board game next week. It sounds really fun becuase I love when learning and kinesthetic activites can be combined. I healthy body makes for a healthy mind.

This week was fun in the astronomy component. We were talking about meteors, and simulating one crashing into earth using a marble, sand, yeast, flour, and sugar, with each substance being a different layer, and representing a different layer of the earth. Fun week :-)

This week we did bottle rockets with the kids. That's when they blow up a balloon tape a straw on it. Then put the string through the straw and release the balloon to see how far it can go on the string.This activity tested air pressure. It was really fun and the children enjoyed it!

Today we started to learn the new activities we are going to be teaching... First, it was a life size board game and then a roller coaster drawing and practice for it.

today we are making rollercoasters out of styrofoam tubes. we also made a big board game to play with the kids.

Today is a good day I've been working too hard for most people and I know things are really good and I love working for Tim. until next time have a wonderful day.. also I really enjoyed the news we have to work on a rollercoaster and it would be really fun....

This week we decided to do ballon rockets. It was really fun and the kids seemed to enjoy it. We saw all different kinds of ballon rockets. Some big and some little. I was every surprised to see some of them I'm excited to see whats in store for next week.
