Robotics & Engineering

This component focuses on promoting a serious interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) studies and careers. Robotics seeks to give teens hands on experience building robots and exploring the many disciplines encompassed within robotics. Through the use of NXT Mindstorm kits, Snap Circuits, and Ardunios, teens will learn the engineering design process, and how to evaluate obstacles and develop solutions. Teens will also transfer their skills to FIRST competitions, both FTC and FRC. All of these activities come together to show how integral robotics in everyday life, and how it can be used to solved everyday problems.
