Ames is a cool school. Its Alot of different kinds of kids there. Its cool when you are teaching them because they are actually looking up to you. The other thing is like when you are teaching and you can point out the class clown and you think to yourself, "I used to act like that?" They have alot of different personalities and that is what I like about teaching Ames' students

This week was a fun ad good week. But for the kids i thought it was easier for the 5th graders to comprehend more stuff than 4th graders. Which should happen because theyre more experienced than others and more mature. Like the 4th grader wanted to kill the fish and the aquarium and the fifth graders wanted to feed it and take it home. I thought it was abig difference because the older group wanted to take care of the aqaurium and the younger group wanted to kill it. So it was an ok week for the kids

For two weeks we have been teaching 4th and 5th graders @ Ames VPA Elementry. We are teaching them about Ecosystems. We made Terrariums and Aquariums with both grades. Yesterday we put the different bugs and fish in the habitats. I think overall the summer is going great

1. Intro:

We are going to be building a wallcoaster made out of foam. The wallcoaster is going to be taped on the wall. You can make as many designs as you want like an actual rollercoaster

 

 

 

The difference between teaching second and third grade is very easy to see.  The third graders are so much more mature in the way the act when we are teaching them new things.  The third graders are very much more inquizative when asking questions on the first day they were asking us where we see ourselves in 10 years but the second graders kept asking about sports.

I found in the past weeks that the difference between 2nd and 3rd graders were,first and foremost, the attention span and second the neediness(if thats a word). the 2nd graders without a doubt need much more attention than the third graders.They always say "look look is this right or "look at me i did it too",whereas the the third graders just say im finished.The second graders are more into cliques and the third graders i teach hang with a little bit of everyone, they are more nuetral.However,the third graders arent as hyper.outgoing and lively as the second graders.Overall, I love both groups of students because they are unique in their own way.
