Right arounnd about 12 o'clock the learning lab got a little out of control. Mesa, the HEad SUpervisor(haha felixlol), took it upon herself to confront us learning places teens of our unproffesional behavior. to make a long story short---------we ended up having an interesting discussion where we brainstormed, reflected, dicussed etc ways to better conduct our LP work. This discussion was beneficial. Both the supervisors and teens appropriately expressed thier greivances but also admitted to their mistakes.---------------the end

Submitted by Ariel001 on Sat, 01/19/2008 - 2:52pm. Learning PlacesToday we took an online test to see our strengths in our skills. We were told what our strengths were and what they meant. Then we made our own puzzles by cutting out a big poster in some shapes. Then we did an activity where one person would be the child learning the activity and one would be the teacher teaching them. The point of it was to teach in inquiry. It didnt go so well. Then we compared inquiry to normal teaching.

Submitted by Jasmaine001 on Sat, 01/19/2008 - 2:43pm. Learning PlacesToday was a very hectic day. We were asked to do multiple things at a time and had to work very diligently. We alternated taking turns at explaining our activity to kids(other employees). And then we talked about the pros and cons of the inquiry activity and what could be worked on or how it could be better. Also, we held a discusion with our yes supervisors and talked about what we would like to see in the curriculum. Then they told us what they would like to see more from us...so next week we will try to input some of those thoughts!
