Learning Places
It's been a week since chaos and i don't believe it but the supervisors are actually listening to us a little. It feels like they are really hearing what we're saying instead of brushing it off. They're talking with us and helping us too. I also feel that the teens are starting to work a little harder but they need to keep workin on it. There hasn't been any arguements lately either. Now we're working on our long term projects. These are projects that will last for the rest of the summer & maybe even next year. The supervisors are helping us with them which is cool. Some of the other teens and I came up with the idea of building a life sized car made out of wood. It's gonna take us a while to make it but we'll get there in time.
That's it for me so DUCES
Hope u havin fun down there Felix.

Compton Drew
So this is my first summer working both with the Science Center and the Yes program. I guess I wasn't exactly sure what to expect before starting this job, but it's been a great experience so far. I've really enjoyed working with all my coworkers, supervisors and yes teens alike. It's funny that I feel we've gotten so close from spending so much time together. (I think I'm boring my friends at home with work stories all the time, because those are basically the only stories I have at all now).
Teaching in the classroom has been one really good experience. I was amazed how fast all our new Yes Teens (and there's a whole lot of them) were able to pick up on doing their roles well. We have a whole lot of potential and rising lead facilitators who now argue over who can do it. Other great experiences have included watching certain Yes teens falling off rolling chairs or rocket ships while trying to be suave... but that's just my opinion.
Anyway, I hope everyone else's experiences at Compton Drew or with the Yes Program have been as fulfilling and entertaining as mine has been. I know there's been some crazy stuff happening, but I know I'll really miss this when it's ove

Gateway Homeless Services
The experience at Gateway Homeless Center has been really cool. I think vwe have an even better time ahead of us with the addition of three new kids. Their names are Jordan, Narsico, and Kendra. Though today was their first day, they had no problem jumping right in and having fun.

Today we worked at Confluence Acdademy. Our subject to teach the children was "Space". They love it from what i see that really means alot to me it help me know im not just wasting my time. They are very well prepared w/ info. The assignment that we taught today were two things "solar system in your pocket"& " making a poster". The one i enjoy the most is making the poster because its more hands on and learning more info. at the same time. Well that it for right now!
