Today is my first day back in almost two years ! I was excited about learning how to make devolved eggs, since I never had them ! We also learned what was in the food we eat and how to know good and bad foods. Last we played a game of mingle witch was very fun. Can't wait for tomorrow :)

First Day Back

Agriscience
Today was the first day back for the summer session, and it was fun. I met new people in my group and we had a cooking class. We made deviled eggs, they were actually pretty good. W learned what we will be doing when we get children, and it seems like a lot of fun to teach. After all our work was completed we played an icebreaker call Clique/Mingle. Overall, today was fun, I'm ready for tomorrow.

Reading Food Labels

Atmospheric Science

Last Saturday, the teens in Atmospheric Science had a guest speaker.  Linda from Mizzou's extension office came to talk to us about picking out healthy food.  First, she explained how to read food labels.  Then we visited a local store and tried to find healthier foods.  At the end of the day, the afternoon teens were able to transplant some of our plants out onto Science Corner.  Here's a photo of Linda explaining how to choose a fresh orange.

Today is our last day of the fall Session. This session period has for me been a great success. We learned a lot of things over this short , but useful period. Today we went to Manchester Market to experience the healthy techniques to find good fruit. I learned that these techniques look easy, but if picked wrong your fruit could possibly be rotten.
