We cleared science corner in the heat, which wasnt fun. We talked about the effects of food on society and culture. It was interesting hearing the things about our government. I didn't know there were so many food deserts.

today was fun, we made deviled eggs and made faces out of food.

I really enjoyed our first day back in the yes program. We started off the day by getting some insightful instruction on how to prepare some healthy food. Today we made deviled eggs. They looked really cool; however, I didn't eat any because I knew that I wouldn't like them. I think that the highlight of our day was discussing the word of the day "High Fructose Corn Syrup." I learned that this product is an artificial sweetner that is used in many different foods that we eat. Overall, I enjoyed the time we spent together today, and I am looking forward to learning more about food and plants.

Every Wednesday in agriscience we have a cooking class in the morning. Today we cooked devil eggs.

Today was the first day in agriscience component, it was a good day actually. When we first got here, we started off with the cooking class, we were very hands on and it was fun. Then as the day progressed we seen more of what our summer would be like. Overall, I feel like this summer will be good. 

Today was the first day back for the summer session. We learned how to cook deviled eggs and about high fructose corn syrup. The people in my component are really fun and I can tell I am going to enjoy this summer. I can't wait till we start planting stuff for Manchester Market.
