Building a robot with claws

Today in robotics we learned about gears and how they worked. We learned the difference between gearing up and gearing down. Gearing up is when the speed is much greater, but the force is weaker, because the driver gear is bigger than the follower gear. Gearing down means that the speed is much slower, but the force is much greater, because the driver gear is smaller. This lesson led to us building robots, which included gears, to make the arm of the robot move up and down, and makes it able to pick up things. Check out my video, and you will see our work !
