My YES Teen experience

YES
My Yes Teen experience has been funfilled and a learning experience. I have taught younger and older people about science and also learned about plants, seeds, and beans. I have learned that you dont have to have soil to grow a seed, you just need a water source, and it will grow as my "Handy Garden" has. I have learned effective teaching techniques that i will remember forever. I have also learned how to work with children and how to excite things for them so they can get into the learning. Week 1: Handy Garden. A garden made with a glove, five cotton balls, water,a red bean, a black bean, a lima bean, and two types of grass. Week 2: Lima Bean Dissection. Dissecting a two lima beans, 1 that is regular, and 1 that has been soaked over night in water, and finding the three parts of a lima bean; Seed coat, Food storage, and Embryo(Little plant) Week 3: Plant Dissection. Dissecting a flower and looking at all of the parts; Flower, Petals, Stem, Leaves, Seed, and Roots; and seeing how many of each part there are.
