Established during the summer of 2005, Flight School, a program partnering the Gateway Eagles of Missouri and the Saint Louis Science Center, provides an additional opportunity for personal and professional growth for YES teens.  Taking place in August, select teens attend an intensive one-week flight-simulation course, working with flight instructors on take-off, in-flight, and landing procedures.  By weeks end, YES teens have an opportunity to fly and land (with an instructor) a Seahawk II.  To date, over two dozen YES teens have successfully participated in Flight School, completing a number of flight hours that can be used towards obtaining a pilots license.
