Exploring

In order to create and maintain relationships with community organizations, the Saint Louis Science Center has established a program called “Exploring.”  Each month, trained Science Center staff facilitates “Exploring” workshops to community partners, and the partners in turn teach the curriculum to students at their respective after-school programs. 

The workshop curriculum, which includes topics such as “Exploring Bubbles” and “Exploring Cake Chemistry,” is inquiry-based, in that the workshop participants are encouraged to freely explore scientific concepts and construct meaning from their observations.
