Off Site Teaching

Hey it's Ashley,

And I want to take a little of your time to talk about, Teaching off site.  For the past two weeks my group Learning Places along with Lady Gywanna and Felix we have had the chance to work with two community organizations Girls Inc. and Grace Hill Head Start/Howard Branch. Man has it been an adventure for us all, we are going to install a water table for each of the site for those of you who don't really know about Learning Places, we are in partnership with ST. Paul, MN and their teens who are also working to create a learning environment for the community that we serve.  There are a few things that I want to share about the differences in the sites that we have served.

Teenage Brain Workshop

Attention YES parents and guardians!  This Thursday from 6-7:30 pm we are hosting a Teenage Brain Workshop for parents.  All are welcome to attend.  Come listen to leading experts as they present compelling information about how your teens' brain functions, and how to identify specific behaviors indicating depression and drug abuse.  All are welcome, hope to see you then!

End of the Year Celebration

It is that time, once again, to pay tribute to the YES teens, staff, and parents who worked tirelessly to make this summer a success.  This summer, we worked with youth across St. Louis to provide positive science learning experiences for all! 

Join us at the Science Center from 6pm-9pm for free Omnimax movies, Exhibit access, delicious catered food, and much much more!
