Opportunity for Science!!   January 13, 14 and 15, 2007

The Saint Louis Science Center will host the 15th Annual Minority Scientists Showcase.   Scientists from prominent St. Louis companies and organizations will be demonstrating their science expertise with hands-on experiments and displays.  See presenters from Sigma Aldrich, Metropolitan Sewer District and the National Society of Black Engineers.

This event will consist of a large group being addressed by a distant speaker, plus youth and their families interacting one-on-one with the scientists.  This creates a unique opportunity for discussion and questions.  The scientists will share the values and rewards of their careers, encourage proper academic preparation, motivate by personal example, and break down racial and gender stereotypes and barriers in science.
