Hi My name is Vincent Mckinney and i'm back for  the 2008-09 fall season of the yes program i took a little break this summr to  go 5th term at my high school. Well last year I was in the City science and the Biodiversiable teens group  but now this year i am in  Technology Specialist group. I think this year is going to be better than last year cause this year instead of doing the same thing that I did last year I get  to do some thing different witch is going to be very interesting for me.   

On saturday was  the Big hikeing trip for the biodiversible Teens. The only thing that I did not like about the trip was that it was very cold outside and we did not get to see to many animals out there but other than that it was a pretty good experiance. My favorite part of the whole trip was the diffrent water holes we saw in the park and the good thing about the water holes was that they were not man made. i thought that was pretty cool it almost felt like you were in a rain forest or something with all those trees. we also saw alot of plants and we had a book with us that had information on some of the plants that grow in st.Louis

On staurday our group got to paint at a garden site the sign said WHAT and our grup had so much fun. my favorite part was designing the diffrent letters for the mural that we made. the letter I designed was the letter W and a also helped paint some of the other letters for the mural. I was glad that it was a sunny day that day because on the day when we drew out our letters it was very cold and my hands were freezing.

Hi this Vince from the group City science A. All school semester we have been working on our  investigative project my Group has been investigating on the Caracal Cat. Our investigative Question is (How does the Caracal catch its Food) So far we found out that it sufficate its victums by biteing it their neck and cutting off their circulation. We also got some information from a group called mytracks wich is a group of teens that look up diffrent information up for you in the library.

Today in city science we did another experirment that had to do with food. All this semester we have been talking about food like why do we need food and why is it important to eat the right foods. Todays experiment was about fat foods and how to measure the fat in your food. first we had to get the materials and the foods that we were testing.The foods thatwe used were sunflower seeds, chocolste chips, and potatoe chips. the first food we tested was the chcolate chips and what we did was take two grams of chacolate chips and put them in the microwave for about  45 seconds and crashed them in a paper towl and then recoreed are results then we use 9 chacolate chips and crushed them with a hammer and added some acetone to the crushed chocalate chips and left it in the vin
