alchohol lamp in the lab

City Science

Alchohol lamps are bottles with alchohol in them with a rope that soaks up the alchohol to make the flame. We use them to boil chemicals or clean things with the flame.  The safety rules for using the alchohol lamps is that you light it then watch it ,then you put out the fire by putting on the cap from the side. Alchohol lamps are used in a lab project by lighting it with matches then boiling chemicals or what ever you have to do with it.

Patience is a Virtue? Travelle

Saint Louis Public Schools
Everyone are not born with patience you have to develop patience as you go along.  You have to have alot of patience to do alot of things like working with little kids.  I dont have alot of patience so thats something I need to work on.  If you dont have patience you will be fustrated with alot of things you do.

Advice for a kendergarden teacher

Saint Louis Public Schools
My advice for a kendergarden teacher is you have to be very patient with them.  You have to llike break every little thing down for them and make sure you explain it to them right.  When working with kendergarders you have to keep them working because them like to move around and play alot.  Working with them can be very fun and it can make you tired.

My second day at Adams with the kindergarteners

Saint Louis Public Schools
My day with the kindergarteners didn't go so good because they were to hiper and active.  We ran out of time so we didn't get to do everything we plan to do.  We did they same thing the first graders did with the animals and that took up all the time.  The group of kids that I have were very hiper and they could not stay seated.  When we go back we are going to finish what we had plan for yesterday.

My first day teaching at Adams

Saint Louis Public Schools

My first day teaching at Adams was good we did alot of things with the kids.  We taught first graders about science and ecosystems.  We did a icebreaker where we split the kids into groups of 4 or 5.  Then they came up with a animal they liked and wrote something about that animal.  After that they presented it to the whole class.  The kids where good and I think they liked us in their class with them.  They liked me the most though.  Chastity is my new supervisor this year and she is a cool supervisor to be working with.SmileSmileSmile
