In Yes -2- Tech we wanted to figure out how we can make a pump to go outside to pump the 200 gallon tank. So first i took apart a hand soap despenser.There were so many parts in it, to make the soap come out. It actually had a ball bearing something i didnt know was in a pump, also it was a spring in there too. Nao asked us the question, what is used to make the soap go up through the pump? So we had to fiqure you out what each part do an order to make the soap come out of the pump. Then next Me and KiOntey took apart a water gun, it took us a minute because, we had to unscrew alot of screws. When we finally got it open it had a  tube connected to a piston and it also had a spring; like the soap despenser. After looking a both types of pumps, now we know what we need to make our own pump.

Today in Yes-2-Tech we made a Ph indicators. First we did a experiment and we used different kinds of solutions to see how cabbage reacted with it. We had to decide if the solutions were acidic, neutral, or basic. We used five different solutions such as vinegar, water, milk of magnesia, peroxide, and mouth rinse. After we seen how the cabbage reacted with the solutions we collected the data. Then we took some coffee filters and soaked them with cabbage juice. Next week we are going to finish making the Ph indicators.

    Today in Yes-2-tech we did presentations. What i presented to the group was how solar power cars run. There have not been a solar powered car made, but we made a model of one. We talked about solar power, renewable energy, and solar panels. Solar power is used for two things for heat and for a energy source. Renewable energy is also called "clean energy" because, it doesn't pollute the air or water. Solar panels is a device that collects and convert solar energy into electricity or heat.

Today in Yes -2- Tech we started finding designs for the windmill or any kind of renewable energy. I found a renewable energy that i think that would be a good for us to design.

In YES-2-TECH we started talking about how we are going to put the wind turbines outside next to the Big Dome. We first had to figure out how big it had to be. We set up a proportion  and we figure out it needed to be 20ft. Then after that we had to research how we are going to generate the turbine, if there is no electricity outside.  

    Yes-2-Tech have been working with solar power. So we decided to make a wind turbine. We tried all different shapes and designs to see which one will work better. Matia and Izel made a turbine that had three blades which was 9 inches long. Then after trying the design out, they figured it didn't work. Then they decided to look on the internet to see what would be the best design to have more voltage. So Izel went to the website, www.windturbinescompany.com (for more information), and he fount a great idea. So they decided to make the width of the turbine extra thin. Then they tried their new design out. After testing the design they fount out that the design worked better then they thought. Next they went to on the internet to find extra information on wind turbines. So they wanted to know, How big are wind turbines? They fount out that it is between 150 ft- 240 ft. Then they wanted to know, How many volts turbines suppose to generate? Then just looking around on the internet they found this real cool website for wind turbines. Today we had to test how much oxygen was in a fish tank with fish in it and another one just with sea-weed in the fish tank. The groups hypothesis was that that the tank with just sea-weed would produce more oxygen than the tank with fish. The reason why the group pick the one with just sea-weed because, plants let off oxygen. After doing the oxygen test we figured ou the one with fidh in it produced more oxygen. We figured out that the reason the fish tank with fish produced more oxygen because, there was an pump in the tank.
