me and a group of YES teen decided to do an experiment with food and focus. we wanted to see what would happen if we got a group of 10 to 12 people and divide the group in half and give the first half a healthy breakfast and give them a test and the other half the same test with out breakfast and see how they do. 

Today wasn't much different from last Saturday. We tried new design challenges with the Pico Crickets. We made them dance and tested our reaction time. I really think I'm getting more advanced with the Pico Crickets and I can't wait until next week. 

In the learning labs today I made music using pickles and bananas. We connected the foods together all different types of ways. We got a chance to change the sounds using the different foods. It was really fun. Working with the Pico Crickets has really been fun because I've never had a chance to work with something like this before. I hope we continue to work with the Pico Crickets.

This past semester has been fun and busy. This is my first year in the Designing Teens programs and it has been really helpful. The reason I say this is because of College Prep. I'm a senior in high school and college is my main focus right now. The College Prep sessions help me with narrowing down my choices as far a what college I want to attend and what I would like to major in. We do research online and have discussions. We have went through scholarships snd gave our opionions on how we feel about college. I am very thankful for this program and can't wait to participate it in again. 

Today in the afterschool program we talked about ways to improve our teaching skills. We also did role playing situations to handle the students that we teach. I had a fun time afterschool today.

This summer I worked at Adams Elementary Summer School with 5th and 6th grade students. We had a big class of about 35 students and I could tell they all were really excited to work with us. We learned about the ecosystem and different types of biomes. My favorite activity was creating the aquarium and terrariums. The kids got a chance to see how the watercycle works using two 2 liter bottles. It was really fun. When time came for us to pack up and leave, the kids really didn't want us to go. I'm looking forward to working with them again.
