Professional Development Training

The Saint Louis Sciencenter's Youth Volunteers participate in a series of five professional development training. These sessions are designed to provide Youth Volunteers with better training and supplemental resources to maximize and enhance the Youth Volunteer experience.  Professional development sessions must be completed before Youth Volunteers are assigned to a specific work station/duty.

We hold three session a year, Saturday Sept. 22, until Nov. 10, 2007 Saturday Jan. 12, until Saturday March 8, 2008, Saturday March 22, until Saturday May 10, 2008  At this time we have 73 active Saint Louis Sciencenter youth volunteers, serving in BW3, Human Adventure, facilitating Professional Development trainings, on the board of YTAB, Discovery Room, Cyberville, Planetarium, and Physical Science/Math Cart.
