SCANS/College Prep

I think the most beneficial activity that we did in SCANS this semester was "Acquiring, Organizing & Communicating Information" activity.  What we had to do is research our future occupation on Occupation Outlook Handbook. The things we had to find were:

Job Title
Job Description (types of nature of the work)
What working conditions can you expect once on the job?
What type of equipment, if any, is necessary for this job?
What kind of special training is required?
What kind of education is required?
Is experience required oe is on the job training available?
What are the oppportunities for advancement?
What is the estimated salary range?
What are the employment opportunities in this field?
What is the job outlook for the future in this chosen field?
Are there related occupations? Do they interest you?  

I think the activity was very beneficial because it helps me realize if i really want to go to college to be a pharmacist and make this my occupation for the rest of my life. So that's why I really like this activity.
