Have you ever wondered what those people where calld who check your eyes? Or how much money they make or if they were really doctors? Well today I got to know all about Optometry, which are the people who check your eyes and give you eye exzamines. Today a group of optometry's from Umsl came to talk to us, it was a great experince and I learned that their were different fields in science you can look at. Altough optometry isn't a form of doctoring and you dont have to go to medical school to become one. I mean it sounds like a cool job that you stay hands on with, but I dont think its for me. I had fun with the two girls that came to my table to talk to me, we talked about school, college, their profession, and lots more. Im glad I had this experience and i hope to talk to you later.

Today in EHA, we as a group first discussed about how we could save a Bay if we had a chance too. Many people came up with great ideas and thought that the activity was going to be easy. It was when Frank told us the procedure and let us loose that we knew we were in for a rude awaking. I mean getting the water and pouring the oil and paint in was simple but once Frank assigned us to try and eliminate all the oil was when it got harder. My partner and I first tried cotton balls to soak up some oil and then we used guaze to soak up the paint and finally we used panty hose too soak up most of our oil. My partner, Aijah and I was really excited when Frank gave us the hands up for completing the activity. I had a great time today, I learned something that I never thought would be fun. . . thanks for reading my blog, comment on my blog so I can reply back.

Most deaths amoung U.S. servicemen in 1918 were due to what cause? Frank started the day off with a cause of death quiz, thinking that it was going to be boring I actually enjoyed learning the facts. My name is Breia Jefferson and the answer to the question is the Flu!The answer to that question no one wqould of knew because it was meant to be a trick. But Frank thought different he was determine that every YES teen today would go home with more knowledge about diseases. Today we learned all about diseases from Leginnaire disesase to Tuberculosis. I had a great time but the real exciting part was when we did the cheek cell experiment. Since I've worked at the Main building and I was one of the few that got choosen to go to the Flo-Valley program, I had did a familiar thing but only it was with strawberries. The cheek cell activity got really interesting when one of the teens drunk the salt water instead of the distilled water. How we handle the situation I do not know...... But we then wrapped the day up with science connections and thats not as bad either. MAny people think that since we as teens wake up at 8 to get to the science center at 9, must be forced to come here. But yet the activites we isn't like getting our teeth pulled, its more of a opportunity to get closer to a career in our future life.

So today we built robots and the main key was to activate a light sensor. Meaning that the robot had to run by itself be just the visual of the light. It was hard i must admit because this building is surrounded with light so the robot would get confused about what light it should follow. We had so many problems because of this i mean it ran into the wall, trashcans and so much more. Well i kind of got to go so ill keep you guys posted on what i did so thanks for reading keep you posted bye
