Today in agriscience we tested soil from science corner. Each group tested for something different. My group in particular tested for lead. Our process takes approximately 4hours. So we are predicting that it will have lead in it,but we are waiting patiently.. :)

Today in atmospheric science we learned about classification,and how scientists classify different things. We learned about aquaponics. We tried multiple different fruits and vegetables and classified them according to them having seeds or not having seeds. Fruits have seeds and vegetables don't. I also learned that a potato is a root, because it grows in the ground. I tried eggplant for the first time today. It's so much fun learning new things. :-)

Today was my last day in atmospheric science until the new year.. Today was a cool day we got to look at our plants,and measure them. My favorite part of the day was when I got to paint. My finger kept touching it so it got messed up.. Lol I'm still an artist though!

Today in Atmospheric Science we focused on maps and we reviewed some of the things that we said would be good on a map. We had to draw a map of what we remembered was on science corner. Some of our maps were really off, but now I know that I should be a little more observant of my surroundings.. :-)

Today in Atmospheric Sciences we went outside. When we went outside we started to take apart some left over wood structures that were left in the ground. After that we came back in and researched on some side projects that we might be interested in. My favorite one was called WhaleFM. It is a group where we research whale calls and try to figure out what it is that they are saying. I hope I get that project. Today was a fun day! :-)

Today in Astronomy we did three activities. We did one that taught about meteors,and how land is formed.The other two activities dealt with balloons, and the effect of thrust and potential energy. Group A( the group i am in)will be doing the activity dealing with the meteors. We had to write a script of what we were going to say, and we practiced doing it with everyone else. It was cool, and i think we wont have any problems delivering our information. :-)

Today in astronomy, we went over the activities that we will have to do for next week. My group (group A) is going to do an activity that discusses the characteristics of life. It should be fun. In our other group, Light Pollution, we talked about the ideas that we have for our topic.We want to create a poster to advertise the website GlobeAtNight. I had fun working with my groups today, and next week should be fun... :-)
