Today we were supposed to fo in a field trip but it was canceled because the school was on spring break so we were disappointed. Well we tested soil. We changed light bulbs had a discussion on the soil testing and had lunch an now we are blogging !

So today we have finished our plants project and I have learned that plants are very much just like us humans. We have many key traits that we both use like air, food, and others as well. But with my personal experiment I have realized that even if you cut a plant from an angle or from a middle cut it will still grow back just at a slower rate but it will heal their selves just like humans do ! What a wonderful experiment. But in college prep we have started to form our own personal résumé ! And we are suppose to have a college fair a couple months for now. So we have something we can refer back to when we want to submit it to a college or get a job.

Today we hung up our bird feeders , scientist activities preparing for minority show case. We worked more with our plants like for isntance my group is tryin g an ec periment trying to see if the plants will grow at a constant rate if we cut them from anaangle or middle cut as the same as the one we did nothing to. We did word of the day and journaled. And im still cold from going out side

Today we have drilled some holes inside of gourds and are making bird feeders out of them so that birds will have a place they can stay with out dying of starvation or eaten by predators. We have mapped science corner out from our memories and then went to science corner and seen how accurate our memories are and surprisingly we misssed a lot of things. I guess the eye doesn't catch everything that we see only the most important things at the moment. We had to use the drills for the gourd though ver tough to handle if you are not used to working with drills ! and now we go to college prep to learn how to accurately fill out applications and ect.

Today we cut open some SHARKS ! The smell of them made me sick a little bit but I will be fine but it only made me sick because I ate right before that because I have dissected many many animals before but also we had set Up our experiments with the plants that we put together last time because we ran out of time before so we didn't finish actually doing the experiments. Sadly we didn't go out to science corner so we didn't get to start actually planting the new seeds that each group picked out today. We also learned about gymnosperms today. It was part of out word of the day, which we do those everyday. So after learning abut plants, dissecting sharks, journaled, did icebreakers,and last but not least we are ending our day with our individual citizen science projects!

So for today we have fixed up our garden, Cleaned out our greenhouse, recycled, did research on different websites about future projects that we are each going to do in the future whether we are in groups or individually. So super excited about that. After have a freak out with bugs(I personally think they were trying to attack me). We had college prep but my group (the juniors) had a guest speaker but only for those that are thinking about going into the medical field. But we practiced filling out papers for things like finically aid, applying for colleges and etc. I though that today was very interesting except for the bugs!
