Last Day Of Work

Hey everyone well todays our last day of this semester until June 9th!!! I'm going to miss everyone and ll aspects of this group. Blogging, all of the great friends I met, all of the new activities i learned how to do; i learned so much and i had so much fun.

Although i wasnt here as much as i would've hoped to be, this was the ultimate learning oppurtunity for me. They prepared me for the real work place in more ways than one. I learned to work with all types of people, regardless of there ethnic background, their enabilities or abilities. I gained responsibilty in all aspects and all of my expectations were met and exceeded.

This whole semester was nothing short of amazing. The people are what stood out to me the most. They were kind and easy to get along with and they made this time even more enjoyable. This program has left me with a happy thought about this whole program. Thanks everyone and you will be missed.

This is officially our first week out of the classrooms and i already miss my kids! Dont get me wrong I love this break from teaching and all but I just miss coloring and having fun with my students! We use to have so much fun. We played icebreakers, we learned knew activities, we got to be little kids with other little kids 5 days out of the week, who wouldnt want that. Playing all day, running until your wheels fall off, eating candy and popsicles, and then at the end of the summer school program playing games and getting prizes for being a good kid! Life coulnt get any better than that! I miss you Adams Elementary!

the last week of teaching :(

This by far has been the greatest adventure I have encountered this whole summer. These are some of the most unique, talented and most intelligant kids I have interacted with. There were always new things i could go home and laugh about or talk about with my mommy or brother (whom is a supervisor at taylor). They always wanted to play and learn new things. They were always excited to see our faces.Even outside of the Adams elementary school they always spoke to us and gave us hugs. They always kept us guessing! I LOVE YOU GUYS!

the differnce between 3rd graders and 2nd graders

I found in the past weeks that the difference between 2nd and 3rd graders were, first and foremost, the attention span and second the neediness(if thats a word). the 2nd graders without a doubt need much more attention than the third graders. They always say "look look is this right or "look at me i did it too",whereas the the third graders just say im finished. The second graders are more into cliques and the third graders i teach hang with a little bit of everyone, they are more nuetral. However, the third graders arent as hyper.outgoing and lively as the second graders.Overall, I love both groups of students because they are unique in their own way.

2 weeks at Adams

So it has been two weeks at Adams and we have already started to teach the kids. I must admit it has been everything and more than what I have expected. We see new faces all the time, we are encountered with new experiences everyday. This has been fun. Some days are different than others. Some days the kids are tired and drowsy and just ready to go home, and others the kids are gitty and we cant keep them focused. You can already tell who's going to be the teachers pet and the class clown and who will be the skill builders. However, this summer,I think, will be lots of fun!

whats new?!

My first day teaching was awesome! I met wonderful kids and learned new things! These kids are extremely intelligant.we played an icebreaker yesterday where we,the supervisors, had to introduce ourselves and the kids could ask us two questions. Many of the students had questions that beat them in age! You really wouldnt expect them to ask questions anything like this! They ask what do you see yourself doing in the future, what do you want to major in when you get to college,do you like what you do, etc. Then we turned the questions around on them and asked them what they wanted to be when they grow up, they answered: scientist, artist, soccer player, doctor, wrestler etc. I must say I think I will love my group of students!
