This year on science corner.

This year we had a good time on science corner. We grew a lot of vegetables and made some good food. I didnt think that science corner woukd be so fun and interesting. It would be better if we could grow meat. We also ate some organic food. I really enjoyed this year on science corner.

Pinto Beans Week 1

Today I observed that my pinto beans are starting to sprout. The process that I followed for my beans to sprout was putting cotton balls in a zip lock bag and putting water on the cotton balls. Then I put the pinto beans in the zip lock bag with the cotton balls and it forced them to sprout. Now my pinto beans are starting to grow and you can see the roots from the pinto beans in the zip lock bag.

My First Year in Science Corner

My first year in science corner is very interesting. We have a garden on the corner of Manchester and Kings highway. We grow all types of food such as, vegetables. After we grow the vegetables we bring them in and wash them. Then we cook them next week. So far we have made salsa and we fried some fresh vegetables out of the garden we have. We also went on a tour at the main building in there garden and they have some nice vegetables they are growing. This year is going to be very interesting with Betsy and Tim.

Today me and Danny are blogging about bones and muscles. We are also talking about what muscles have to do with dancing. We are doing dancing because it is a interesting subject that most people would be interested in listening to.Most people don't see the way you can use your muscle by knowing how to connect yourself with your body.People dont understand what bones they have to use when they are dancing and they act like they dont have bones to use when they dance.

Learning Educational Things at City Science

Last week at City Science we did a lot of educational things. We did things about bones. We did things with partners.I learned that we have 8 bones in the palm of our hand.We made stick hands with marshmallows. The humouros is in the top of your arm by the shoulder.I also think learning can be fun and boaring at the same time.I would rather learn about fun things that are interresting.Besides City Science is a good place to learn. We learned how not to use our thumb. That kind of fun to me.I would like to learn about energetic things and more electrical stuff.

Teaching second and third grade

The second and third grade students are awsome. They do get a little out of control when they learn something new.But i was impressed when they found out what ecosystem means. We took them on a nature walk and they got a little excited. But they also understand living and non-living things. There very smart kids but you just have to work with them a little.I can tell as they get older they will undeerstand.

2 weeks at Adams

My 2 weeks at Adams are going good so far.The kids like attention and they do treat each other fairly. My group of 2nd and 3rd graders are very awesome. We teach them about the ecosystem and things that are living and non-living.They do understand all the things we teach them.We also play icebreakers with them. The icebreakers are warmup games so they can get to know us and they get to know each other.I like teaching Adams Elementary 2nd and 3rd graders and when they see us they get proud and ask profesional questions.Thats why I like teaching at Adams Elementary.
